Tool/software:
Hi Experts,
We'd like to ask the following queries about DLP4500NIR on customers behalf. They are interested in this device and associated controllers that seem suit their needs, would like to verify if it is the correct solution before acquiring. Below is the full transcript from customer:
The product I am interested in is actually the DLP4500NIR digital micromirror device. I had several questions about the product, including the following:
[1] What kind of reflective efficiencies can we expect from the DLP4500NIR in the 780 nm and 930 nm ranges? Is it consistent across the board? The data sheet for your product seems to indicate it is around 89% reflective at these wavelengths but is that the case?
[2] We only intend to use the DMD to filter for certain frequencies of light, filtering out all but two narrow bands from a broad pulse. The resolution will depend on the other optics and beam properties in the system, but with "pixel" widths of just under 11 microns what would the resolution limit be of your DMD?
[3] Another task we wish to conduct is the modulation of the amplitude. The way we do this now is by attenuating the coupling into a fiber by tilting a mirror. A Spatial Light Modulator achieves this by turning on or off pixels. How efficiently can one control rows versus columns of the mirrors?
I have a list of other questions to ask as well, but these are the types of information we are looking for.
Regards,
Archie A.
