Possibility for TI to provide special resolution DMD chips

Hi there,

I wonder if it is possible for TI to develop special resolution DMD chips, i.e., resolution such as 2048x768, 2800x1050 or 3200x1080. Who would be the contact point at IT to talk about this?

Hello Teddy,

Welcome to the DLP section of the TI-E2E Community.

The devolopment cost for new or "special" resolution is significant. Therefore in order to build a new or special resolution DMD the opportunity for ongoing volume sales would need to be demonstrated.

Hi Bruce,

No, I mean "special" resolution. Actually, I'm wondering if TI could produce DMD chips that double the horizontal resolution of the existing DMD chips. Thanks for asking,
