DLPLCRC410EVM: DLPLCRC410EVM

Part Number: DLPLCRC410EVM

Hi Tech Support,

Good day.

I would like obtain the feedback for the following concerns which related to DLPLCRC410EVM.

1)  What is the power supply input requirement? There is a power connector, size 5.9mm diameter.
We need to know what is the Voltage, Amp and Polarity.

2) What is the back up battery model should we use ? There is a button cell holder (BT5) on board, size 12mm diameter. Please suggest the battery model.

Thanks.

Regards,

Kent

  • Hello Kent,

Thank you for reaching out via the E2E Forum! Please see the answers below regarding the DLPLCRC410EVM:

    1) Section 2.2.2.1 and Section 2.2.2.2 of the DLPLCRC410EVM Users Guide (DLPU040C) describes the power supply requirements needed for the DLPLCRC410EVM. When selecting a power supply, make sure it is rated as a 5V (Vout) 6A (Iout) power supply with a 2.5mm inner diameter and 5.5 mm outer diameter barrel adapter. What's important is the voltage being rated at 5V.  The amperage is what the adapter can supply if the load pulls that much. and the EVM will only draw the amount of current it needs. The DLPLCRC410EVM draws less than 4A during normal operation, but during initialization it can pull a little over 5A.  That is why a minimum of 6A is recommended. One example of an appropriate power supply could be this one -> https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/ac-dc-adapters/1792824

    2) For the backup battery, the BT5 button-cell holder on the board is designed for a 12 mm nominal coin cell. If we cross-reference the BT5 component from the DLPLCRC410EVM BOM, this is manufactured by Keystone and can be found here -> 12mm Cell Holder. It shows on Keystone's product page that the Battery References for this specific cell holder are 1212,1216,1220, 1225. The Datasheet also has the Battery References listed and can be viewed here -> 12mm button-cell holder (Datasheet).pdf
