new DLP development coming soon? which DMD is in it?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP5500

Hello,

i seen this on the main website:

http://www.ti.com/ww/en/analog/DLP-Coming-Soon/index.html

Im about to order a Light Commander Kit for development of Optical instruments, assuming the XVGA DLP5500 device in mind.

Can you give any indication as to which DMD device is included in this unreleased DLP development package?

Also is ther a rough date and cost too?

thanks,

Bruce.

  • Bruce,

The name of the new development kit is DLP LightCrafter. It uses the 0.3" WVGA chipset - DMD3000.

Go to http://www.ti.com/tool/dlplightcrafter to see much more about the DLP LightCrafter.

The TI website should be updated very soon. Go to http://ti.com/mems to get to the DLP & MEMS page directly.

It was just introduced on Saturday at the SPIE BIOS show. The links for order don't seem to be completely filled in yet, but should be within the next day or two. Check the links above to get updates. The availability will be right away.
