Posting on behalf of our customer.

I've shared this E2E post to our customer so he can reply when needed.

I'm looking to talk with an advanced applications member of your team to discuss DLP modules that operate in the 3-5 micron spectral regime. I'm specifically interested in CW laser power handling thresholds and options/development to harden to high CW powers (>100W CW in that band).

    Thanks again for coming to us with your question!

    Unfortunately, the DLPC900 chipset (controller and associated DMDs) don't have any IR specific devices. I would recommend you take a look at what we offer here. Those devices are equipped with IR windows with a better transmittance. You can see an application report of transmittance efficiencies here which unfortunately only go out to 2000 nm or 2500 nm.

    We have not gone this far out to MWIR for devices but would love to help discovery out into this space. My team and myself are open to work offline to deepen understanding in this mode.

    I was under the impression that DMD products from your team were used in IR scene projectors in the MWIR (3-5um) and LWIR (8-12um). In any case, I would love to discuss options for developing capability in the MWIR! Please give me a call.

    I would love to be able to speak with your experts in this technology. Are there any other window options that would allow us to reach out into the MWIR? Are windowless options available? Do you have an idea of spectral reflectivity of the micro-mirror elements? Please do contact me ASAP directly, if possible.

    I would love to talk to your experts in the DMD development area, if possible. Please reach out to me directly so we can set up a more direct communication. I am aware that some organizations have generated DMD's that are operable in the MW/LW spectral regimes.

    Are windowless options feasible? What is the spectral reflectivity of the DMD surface itself (sans window)? 

    Again, I would greatly appreciate a call with an expert on your side to assess optionality/roadmap for this technology's application to longer wavelength regimes.
