DDC4100 global reset questions

I have a couple of question regarding the global reset phase of the DDC4100:

When using global reset-
1.Are no-op row cycles necessary after loading all rows and before initiating the reset, hence before switching BLK_MD = “11” and BLK_AD = “10XX”?

I'm aware that I have to send no-op cycles during RST-ACTIVE high, but should I also send no-op cycles after loading all the data and before initiating the reset?
This question is based on following quote from the DDC4100 - 2510443 document: "Following the loading of all rows in the device, a no-op row cycle must be completed to initiate the
   reset."

2.Can you please comment on how long the values of BLK_MD and BLK_AD should be held to initiate the global reset, is one dclkin cycle enough?

Thanks in advance.

  • Hello Donald,

Here are the answers I have:

    1. No, but you must set up BLK_MD and BLK_AD and hold them for the duration of one full no-op row cycle.
      • Can you please comment on how long the values of BLK_MD and BLK_AD should be held to initiate the global reset, is one dclkin cycle enough?
      1. No, one DCLKIN clock cycle is not enough,  these values should be held for the full no-op row cycle. (see the answer above)
