Angular output from projector development kit v2

What is the full width angular output of the image from the projector development kit?

I need this to work out the image size from the projector to screen distance- so for example an angular ouput of 25 degrees would yield an image  4.4 feet across at a distance of 10 ft..

  • Samuel,

Welcome to the DLP & MEMS E2E forum.

The Pico Kit V2 has a throw ratio (width of picture divided by distance to screen) of 1.89. This means that the half-angle from the center of the image to the left (or right) edge is 14.8 deg. This means that the image is 29.6 degrees across the horizontal (3:2) aspect screen.

You mention a screen distance of 10 ft. Be aware that the Pico Kit V2 has a limited brightness (6-8 lumens), and may not be adequately bright at 10 ft. for some purposes (such as viewing with any ambient light). However, the throw ratio (and calculated image angular coverage) given above apply at any distance.

    Best regards,

    Pascal
