Extended Pattern sequence setting & firmware 3.x

Hi,

If I'd like to use only One command to start projection and complete One sequence of pattern, should I use Extended Pattern sequence setting (0x04 0x08)?
It seems just read or define the setting, but in byte #18 indicate "Display pattern sequence once and Continuously display pattern", so I hope this command
can use my purpose.

If yes, is over 3.0 version firmware for DM365 available? I'd like to update my LCr only for the above purpose.

  • Hi Takeshi,

To display the pattern sequence once, you have to set the Extended Pattern Sequence Setting (0x04 0x80). The command setting needs to be corrected in the DLP® LightCrafter™ DM365 Command Interface Guide. Define the value of byte #18 to '0' for displaying the pattern sequence once.

The LightCrafter's DM365 v3.31 is available with the new DLP LightCrafter Firmware and Software Package . The download link is not yet active and we are currently working on fixing this link.

  • Hi Divya,

I could download and unzipped the firmware package.

But when I run the bat file (as you described in readme), there is an error like this.

    *****************************************************
Copying image file 'dm3xx_nandv3_31.dat' to 'F:'
    Opening Drive 'F:'
    Error At : lcr_boot_sd.c:572 main!!!
Failed to copy the image to  SD card !!!
    *****************************************************

I confirmed the SD with drive F: is working and could be written.

Does the V3.31 still have problem? Or should I do some at my side?

  • Hi Takeshi,

Did you open the MSDOS command window with "Run as administrator"?

    Regards,

    Divya

  • Hi Divya,

I double checked I run as admin.
Still I can see "Error At : Icr_boot_sd.c:572 main!!! Failed to copy the image to SD card!!!"

    Regards,

    Takeshi

  • Hi Divya,

It seems I succeeded to make an image on WindowsXP system.
But there were some error when using Reader/Writer to access SD even if I use WindowsXP.
I don't know reason why but please close this.

     * I never success with Windows7 system however.

    Thanks,
    Takeshi

  • Hi Takeshi,

I believe you have the boot utility and SD card in the same directory. I am running the terminal in Win 7 with "Run as administrator" and below is the log,

Copying image file 'dm3xx_nandv3_31.dat' to 'E:'
    Opening Drive 'E:'
Searching for image file location ...............................
    Image File Location : 0x1EA0000
    Writing boot record
Image copied to SD card SUCCESS

Could you please provide the error details on your Windows XP system?

    Regards,

    Divya

  • Hi Divya,

Since then, I can no longer duplicate the problem with Windows XP system. I'm sorry to disturbing you.
I could upgrade with this system.
However, Windows 7 still have same problem.

    Takeshi

  • Hi Takeshi,

Please format the SD card prior to running to the utility. Can you provide details of the SD card you are using?

Also, the error logs would be useful to debug the issue.

    Regards,

    Divya

  • Hi Divya,

The error logs are following. I formatted SD before run the utility.

    ***************************************************************
    >lcr_boot_sd.exe dm3xx_nandv3_31.dat i:
    WIN32
Copying image file 'dm3xx_nandv3_31.dat' to 'i:'
    Opening Drive 'i:'
    Error At : lcr_boot_sd.c:572 main!!!
Failed to copy the image to  SD card !!!
    ***************************************************************

    The SD card I'm using is;
    - MM8GR02GUACY-NA (2GB microSD card)
    - Verbatim 4GB SD card

These work fine with Windows XP system.
As I told you, I'm fine with windowsXP, so this issue is not priority.

    Regards,
    Takeshi
