Dichroic mirror inside LED-illumination module

Dear Sir/Madam,

Could you please provide the transmission spectra of the dichroic mirrors in the LED-illumination module? I want to replace one or more of the LEDs and would like to know which options I have that don't require other dichroics.

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Bas

  • Hi Bas,

    We saw your query. Please allow sometime to respond.

  • Bas,

    Here are the transmission specifications of the dichroic filters used in the DLP LightCommander

    T=transmittance (%)
    AOI - angle of incidence of impinging light
    pol. - polarization
    AR - anti-reflection coating

    Blue:
    Dichroic/AR
    AOI=45, random– pol.
    T =< 5% avg 370 – 475* nm
    T = 50 % 485* ± 10 nm (Defined as the average of
    wavelength of T=25% and T=75%)
    T >= 90 % avg 500* – 880 nm
    * Indicates that Actual wavelength for transmittance band range limit will
    shift with position of corresponding T=50% point.

    Red:
    Dichroic/AR
    AOI=45, random– pol.
    T >= 90% avg 370 – 550* nm
    T = 50 % 580* ± 20 nm (Defined as the average of
    wavelength of T=25% and T=75%)
    T <= 5 % avg 605* – 880 nm
    * Indicates that Actual wavelength for transmittance band range limit will
    shift with position of corresponding T=50% point.

    IR:
    Dichroic/AR
    AOI=45, random– pol.
    T =< 5% avg 600 – 650* nm
    T = 50 % 750* ± 40 nm (Defined as the average of
    wavelength of T=25% and T=75%)
    T >= 90 % avg 800* – 880 nm
    * Indicates that Actual wavelength for transmittance band range limit will
    shift with position of corresponding T=50% point.

    The filters used in the LC are from Oerlikon Optics.

    The optical design of the illumination module does not require a "green" filter.
