Digital mocromirror Device replacement

I have a DLP sam sung TV that start to have white dots show up, I think the digital micromioor device is bad and need to be replace. I found the part, but I want to make sure that I can replace the part myself. Did any one if I need any solder to replace this part? P/N 1910-6143W

    Hi Aaron,

    Thank you for your participation on the E2E Community site.  You are unable to purchase just the DMD by itself.  You can only purchase the DMD Chipset, which includes the DMD, Power and Reset Drivers, and Digital Controller.  But these parts are meant for the DLP Discovery Developer's kits and would be useless in a TV.  I would recommend purchasing a new TV or taking it to a store that fixes TV's.  Perhaps they have a solution.

    Thanks for the response. I can get the stand along part from the global projectors.com, but I am not sure I will be able to replace it. I will go home and found the part in my TV and take it apart (from the part installation guide from the global projector).
