Setting trigger and exposure time on DMD 4000

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP5500

I want to synchronize a camera with my DMD 4000, how can  I set the exposure time and set a trigger as a output from the DMD to the camera? What document can help me to do it?

Thanks

  • Hello MBAE,

The functionality that you are asking about is native to the LightCommander and LightCrafter kits.  The D4000 is much more flexible, but requires some programming on your part to implement it.  The D4000 has a Virtex5 APPS_FPGA that you will program to create an output for camera sync and to manage exposure time and grayscale if you choose to implement it.

If you do not wish this level of control and programming then the DLP5500 (LightCommander) chipset or the DLP3000 (LightCrafter) chipset are the way you want to go.
