Vascular Imaging

I see that TI has suggested that vascular imaging can be an application using the DLP technology. I have developed vascular imaging catheters in the past and would like to know more about how DLP could be applied. My experience is that most imaging occurs at the distal end of the catheter and transferred via fibers.

Thanks

  • Hi John,

I would like to refer you to the VeinViewer which is actually a commercially available product from Christie Medical.  As they state on their web site "VeinViewer uses near-infrared (NIR) light and other patented technologies to detect subcutaneous blood and create a digital image of the patient's superficial vein pattern projected directly onto the surface of the skin in real time."  For further details I would like to suggest that you check out their web site at the link below.

If you have further questions, don't hesitate to reconnect.

    Best regards,

    Leigh
