Principal point of LightCrafter

What is nominal principal point of LightCrafter?

I'm trying to calibrate it as a pin hole camera model.

Due to the Offset of 100%, It doesn't seem to be at the center of the image.

  • Sean,

The LightCrafter light engine has what is called a 100% offset. The height of the DLP3000 array is 3.7 mm. That means that the principal point is 1.85 mm above the center of the DMD array.

NOTE: I edited this response to correct an error in my answer. I had assumed that 100% offset would result from moving the array its full height away from the principal point. I have been corrected on this assumption by one of our optical experts. 100% offset means that the DMD array is moved by half its height. Sorry for the confusion.
