Combined with optical microscope for light patterning

I'm wondering if DLP systems can be combined with optical microscope to pattern the light source down to several micrometer scale.

Thank you.

  • Sung Yul,

Welcome to the DLP & MEMS E2E.

Yes. It is possible to reduce the image of a DLP to produce patterns on the micrometer scale. The optical design is not trivial, but is possible. Remember that the wavelength of the light becomes a limiting factor in reduction, due to diffraction effects. We (TI DLP) do not do optical system design, but we can refer you to our Design House partners, if you need assistance.

  • Then, please refer your design house partners to me, so that I can figure out what I have to consider to set up the system that combined with DLP and optical microscope, briefly.

    And thank your kind advice.
