Pattern Sequence problem!

Hi,

LightCrafter can work correctly in "static image "and  "internal test  pattern" display mode, however it falls down when set to "pattern sequence"mode. When I click the "SET" button within the "pattern setting"frame, the command fails.Besides,it seems the "start" button is unavailable(see picture below), the same as the "number" ring within "pattern image " frame. Need help.

Looking forward to some instuctions.

Best Regards,

He.

  • He,

Please download and install the current software package for the DLP LightCrafter from http://www.ti.com/tool/dlplightcrafter. Get the  DLP LightCrafter Firmware and Software Package v1.1 (11/08/2012). It looks like you are running a GUI which is a little behind.

The problem that I see from your screen grab is that it looks like you have not uploaded any patterns. Did you do so? You have specified that there are 12 patterns, but I don't see them (in the lower right box). The newer GUI looks somewhat different over there, and allows you to select internally generated patterns also.

Try this and let's see if that moves you forward.

  • Pascal,

Thanks for your timely reply. Actually ,I downloaded  the GUI packege v1.1 from just the links you attached.Anyway,I will download it again ,and try it.

I have tried it and downloaded some patterns(I downloaded these patterns from this Community),but it failed. See the picture below. I can't select the Number button within the "Pattern Image"frame(in the lower right box),the red underlined button. I am puzzled about it.

    Best Regards,

    He.

  • He,

The reason I mentioned downloading the v1.1 software is that the GUI you are using appears to be a revision earlier than the currently distributed one - that is, v3.7 vs v3.8. There were changes made to the way the GUI handles the patterns. So, I don't know if the problem is because of the GUI revision, or something else.

    First, try the v3.8 GUI.

  • Pascal,

I  applied for downloading the v.11software the other day, but i have not got the permission. What seems to be the problem?

    Regards,

    He

  • He,

I don't know. It usually responds within a few seconds. Try applying again. It's possible that the server was temporarily down, and missed your request.

If you don't have success this second time, please let me know, and I'll see if there is something that needs to be done.

  • Pascal,

Thanks for your reply very much .

I have just requested for the v1.1 the 3rd time. I am not sure if it would work this time.

My request for the old version GUI I submitted a few days ago got the response right the next day.

    Best Regards,

    He

  • He,

I'm sorry that I didn't catch this earlier. You shouldn't have to wait for an email response. As soon as you fill out the form, and click "submit", you should see this:

You should then click on the "Download" button, and receive the software file.

Please tell me if you are seeing something different.

  • Pascal,

When I submit my request, I can' t  find  the "Download" button. I have to wait for the request to be approved. The reason, I think, is that I am a overseas customer .

    Thanks,

    He

  • He,

There should be no problem because you are an overseas customer. One more thing to check. Are you clicking "yes" on the line "I certify all the above is true:" before you click the "Submit" button? See below. The default "no" is clicked. You have to click "yes".

  • Pascal,

I do click "yes" every time I submit my request.

    Best regards,

    He

  • He,

Thank you for confirming that. I'm very sorry that you are having difficulty getting the software. I will work on this today and get an answer, get it fixed, or get a work around.

  • He,

One more question. I just looked at the request page. There are some questions higher up the page which must be answered, or the request may be denied. Are you answering all of the questions?

  • Pascal,

Thank you for your help through all these days.

I  did answered the questions you mentioned ,just as the first time I requested  for the software I am using now. See it below.
