Hello,

I have some questions about DSP3000 and DLP LightCrafter. Could you let me know?

 - How long is the clearance between the micromirror and a next micromirror on DLP3000 ?

 - What video format is supported on HDMI video input mode on DLP LightCrafter?
   (Only RGB888?)

 - What video resolution is supported on HDMI video input mode on DLP LightCrafter?

Best regards, RY

  • Hello RY,

     - How long is the clearance between the micromirror and a next micromirror on DLP3000 ?

[Sanjeev--updated] The nominal distance between micromirrors is 1um.

     - What video format is supported on HDMI video input mode on DLP LightCrafter?

[Sanjeev] Yes it is only RGB888 format. How the data is refreshed on the DMD depends upon LightCrafter configuration mode like 'Video Mode' or 'Structured Light Mode'. Refer to DLP LightCrafter user guider (http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/dlpu006a/dlpu006a.pdf) section 2.5.4 HDMI Video.

     - What video resolution is supported on HDMI video input mode on DLP LightCrafter?

[Sanjeev] For a regular video display it support 28 different resolutions. Refer DLPC300 I2C programmer's guide section 2.2.3.2 Input Resolution (0x0C) http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/dlpu004a/dlpu004a.pdf. If you plan to use it for structured light mode or 1:1 pixel to pixel display mode then it is just one resolution 608x684.

    Regards,

    Sanjeev

Thank you so much for your answer.

    [Sanjeev] 0.5uM

I am sorry that my question was not clear.
Your answer means the length (a) rather than length (b). Is that right?

  • Hi RY9983,

Yes the 0.5uM is for 'a'.
