Hi XU,
LightCommander kit uses 850nM IR LED from OSRAM, the model name/number is SFH 4750. You can download datasheet from OSRAM website http://catalog.osram-os.com/.

Hi XU,
Have copied Relative Spectral Emission graph from OSRAM SFH4750 IR LED datasheet. The emission is peaking at 850-860nM where as at 800nM it just around 6-7%. Referring back camera capture sensitive spec it falls to ~70% for 850-860nM wavelength.
So I can say we would end up having low intensity at the camera capture. You may want to look for camera sensor matching to the LED emission spec.
By the way what is your end application or use case?
We have tried with regular visible spectral camera sensor and put IR filter (rejects ambient light and passes IR wavelength) glass infront of the lens.

Sanjeev
