3D signal via PC(VGA)

Im trying to test some DLP projectors which apparently have 3D capabilities via VGA input. Anyone out there have a link to a 3D image for inputting into a DLP projector via VGA? Thanks

  • Hello Daniel,

First, welcome to the DLP section of the TI-E2E Community.

Sorry for the delay in responding to your question.  We are working to see what might be available.

  • Hello again Daniel,

Here is what I have learned from our team here.  You need to set the projector to 120Hz using a compatible video card (Nvidia Quattro is a good example).

Then go find 3D content.  3D is "movies", not "images"; even if the "movie" only shows a static image.  This is because it shows two frames L/R so the projector handles it as a movie.

You can Google "stereoscopic" player (example http://www.3dtv.at).  Many other (free) online content sources are available (i.e. youtube).  There are also tools for creaation.  3DTV also has sample source movies available for free download.
