Active mirror number of HDMI image transfer

Hi,

This is Aelx.

I concern about the active mirror number when image data transfered through HDMI interface to LightCrafter.

For example, when I transfer WVGA(800x480) image, how many mirrors are active?

(My expectation is 570x684.(684/2./480*800=570))

Please reply.

Hello Alex,

It is discussed in this thread http://e2e.ti.com/support/dlp__mems_micro-electro-mechanical_systems/f/850/p/272306/951303.aspx#951303 . With the (800x480) WVGA resolution input the scaler hardware block in the DLPC300 will be active. The scaler block will adjust the source resolution to fit into the active area of the DMD (608x684). You can refer to DLPC300 Programmers Guide http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/dlpu004a/dlpu004a.pdf section 2.2.3.2 Input Resolution: (I2 C: 0x0C)

If you are planning to use the LightCrafter for structured light mode or 1:1 pixel:pixel display mode I suggest you should always send the source resolution matching to the DMD 608x684.
