Hello Gary Mikaelian,
You need to make the following settings for trigger o/p to work in MBMC mode.
1. The Trigger Period of 20360us needs to be further increased, so set it to 20400us.
2. You can set the trigger pulse width <= 20360us.
This should get you the desired trigger o/p signal.
We will add a note to increase the auto README file generator to add another 50-100us more for trigger period. Also a note for setting the trigger pulse width.
Let me know if you face any other problem.
Regards,
Sanjeev
Hi Sanjeev,
Thank you for your reply. I tried running the trigger period at different values between 24000 and 35000 and it still doesn't work. Here is the screenshot of the pattern parameters I am using. Same patterns with same parameters send an output trigger without any problem in a single color mode. However when I enable the multicolor pattern mode I only get a trigger signal once per sequence. I tried this with two different Lightcrafters and both have the same problem.
Hi Gary,
Sorry, I missed some more steps for the existing sequence to work. Basically we have found minor issue with the sequence generated causing problem with incorrect trigger.
I have two suggestions -
1. Use the existing sequence (this is applicable for all the MBMC sequences which are created with v 1.3.0 or before, you can find it from the README file), the work around is basically to tweak the FPGA configuration to ignore camera triggers coming from DLPC300 and generate period trigger by itself.
Steps to be followed -
1.1 Send a new TCP command before Start Sequence (0x04 0x02) - the command bytes to be sent will be
0x02 0xFF 0x03 0x00 0x06 0x00 0x00 0x01 0x82 0x04 0x00 0x00 0x91
1.2 After you stop the sequence you must sent this command to reset to back
0x02 0xFF 0x03 0x00 0x06 0x00 0x00 0x01 0x62 0x04 0x00 0x00 0x8F
2. We'll post the new MBMC sequence with problem corrected, with the newly created sequence you can find from the README the sequence version shown as v1.3.1. You don't need to do above work-around step.
Let me know if you face any problem.

Sanjeev
Hi Sanjeev,
Thank you for your quick reply. I tried your solution #1 and it still doesn't allow me to trigger the camera after each pattern in the sequence. Hopefully you can get the fixed sequences to me soon so I can try them. Also I noticed that when I switch from the Pattern Sequence to Static Image mode and then go back to the Pattern Sequence mode my multicolor patterns become single color (green). At that point the triggering starts working ok, but green patterns is not what I need.
Best regards,
Gary.
Hello Gary,
"Thank you for your quick reply. I tried your solution #1 and it still doesn't allow me to trigger the camera after each pattern in the sequence."
Actually i tried here before sending the #1 solution, anyways I'll double check again and come back to you in next couple of weeks. I am out of office for next couple of weeks.
Sure, I have requested my colleague to post it on the web. Hopefully you will be able to get it by tommorow
Thanks for your patience.
Regards,
Sanjeev
Golnar,
Welcome to the DLP&MEMS E2E forum.
MBMC means Multi-bit-depth Multi-Color, and refers to patterns for the DLP LightCrafter.
