DLPC350 Pattern Streaming Mode in dlpu010

Guru 10570 points

Hello,
I have two questions.

a) There is "Pattern Streaming Mode" in dlpu010b Table A-2(P52-54).
Could you let me know more datail about this mode?

I think this mode means both of them below:
  - Display Mode Selection Command (I2C: 0x69) = 0 (Patten Display Mode)
  - Pattern Display Data Input Source (I2C: 0x6F) = 0 (Pattern is streamed through the 24bit RGB/FPD-link)
 Is that right?

b) There are NOT listed some commands in Table A-2.
I would like to clarify whether the following each commands are available in "Pattern Streaming Mode".

The commands are:
- Read Control(I2C: 0x15)
- Read Status(I2C: 0x23)
- Download Data(I2C: 0x25)
- Calculate Checksum(I2C: 0x26)
- Erase Sector(I2C: 0x28)
- Start Address(I2C: 0x29)
- Download Data Size(I2C: 0x2C)
- Enter Program Mode(I2C: 0x30)
- Exit Program Mode(I2C: 0x30)
What do you think?

Best regards, RY

  • Hello RY,

Pattern Streaming mode refers to "Pattern Sequence" mode in the GUI when the video port is used as the data input source for patterns.

I believe all of the commands you listed should be available in Pattern Streaming Mode, but I will confirm this for you.

    Best regards,

    Blair

  • Blair-san,

    Thank you for your answer.
    It's just my confirmation.

    a) "Pattern Streaming Mode" is below configuration. Right?

    b) Thank you so much!  I am waiting your checking.

    Best regards, RY

  • Hello RY,

The configuration you've shown is correct. All of the commands you listed earlier, except the read commands, can be used within that operating mode. However, we recommend that you issue a sequence stop command first and then use the commands to ensure those commands don't affect sequence operation.

    Best regards,

    Blair
