Horizontal line on DMD

Hi,
We have a problem about our 4100 DMD. When I turn it on there is a horizontal line across the whole DMD. It stays there no matter what image I load. But when I turn it off, it is gone.
The attached pictures are some information about this DMD and the line on DMD. This line only exists when we turn it on. I check the cable and connector, all look good.
This is some information about this DMD. Is it in guarantee?  Thank you!
  • Hello ChienSheng,

Welcome to the DLP section of the TI-E2E Community.

From the picture this appears to be a 0.95" 1080p Type A DMD that is part of a Discovery 4100 kit.

For any warranty issues you will need to contact the Design House Partner that you purchased your kit from.

Generally horizontal bands are caused by Mirror Clocking Pulse Block line issues.  Please check the "MBRSTxx" lines for -26 volts and/or the presence of Mirror Clocking Pulses.  From the picture I would check Blocks 9,10, 11, and 12.

This could also be software related, if the block is not being sent an MCP.  How are you loading the images?

    I hope this helps.

  • Thank you for the reply. Could you provide more detail about how to test it? For example, where should we test the Mirror Clocking Pulse? Since the DMD is pretty new to us, we need more information to address the problem. BTW we are loading images by the attached software.

    Thank you for your help,
