DLP Lightcrafter not connecting via HDMI

i am trying to connect a DLP Lightcrafter to a Windows 7 PC but the windows 7 display is not connecting to the DLP.

I can get it to work when it is plugged directly to the HDMI port of my Laptop (that runs Windows 8) but i need to figure out how to get it to work on the windows 7 PC's that we use in the lab.

these are the only two devices that it recognizes.  the Dell1703 is the monitor and the IND PICO is the DLP

for some reason the resolution tab is suppressed (i cant click on it and change it)

this is info from my device manager (not sure if this will help)

this is the only output that i get when i tell the GUI to use HDMI (i set the display mode to HDMI and click SET, then tried both the RGB video streaming and the external streaming)

this is my connection setup.

Please help me remedy this issue.

Thanks,

  • Hello Joseph Sadler,

Disconnect your PC monitor device and then just connect PC graphics card output to LightCrafter alone. Reboot the PC. Let us know if graphics card is able to detect and display source properly.

Also can you update the EDID information of the LightCrafter Kit, you can download from 3.0 package from here http://www.ti.com/lcrfw3_win

  • Hello Sanjeev,

Thank you very much. I plugged the DLP in as the only display and rebooted the computer and it worked fine untill i plugged in the monitor.  It seems that the computer didn't want to recognize both devices at the sometime.  to get the DLP working again i have to unplug the monitor and reboot the system again.  the computer does work with two monitors plugged in.  do you know what could be preventing it from using the DLP and a monitor at the same time? should i try installing a new video card?

    Thanks again,
    Sadler

  • Hello Sadler,

Configure your PC graphics card Monitor output setting Primary and Secondary in Duplicate Mode something Extended display mode could cause problem to the graphics card.
