Adding custom string to DLP LightCrafter 4500 firmware

Hi,

Is there a way to check, what images have been added to the currently running firmware in the DLP LightCrafter 4500?

Perhaps a way could be to add a custom string to the DLP LightCrafter 4500 firmware, before uploading it. Is that possible, and if so how is it done, and how can the string be read from the DLP LightCrafter 4500 device?

We are interfacing with the DLP LightCrafter 4500 through C++ code.

    Hello Claus,

    Thank you for very valuable inputs. Yes, we have got similar requests from other users/customer about the FIRMWARE_TAGGING feature to uniquely identify the firmwares with different images.

    At present we are working on releasing firmware upgrade that is addressing the various bugs or issues in the system mainly related to video interface. 

    So i want let us know that we will look into adding this feature in the following build.
