Lightcrafter 4500 GUI v2.0 issues

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC350

With the new GUI/firmware 2.0, we are having the following problems:

* In pattern sequence mode with video input and 8bit patterns, the "Validate Sequence" function hangs. Seems to be a bug introduced in 2.0. Can anyone reproduce it?

* "Get" sometimes returns wrong results when "Auto update status" is activated.

* Changing "Trigger Controls" followed by "Set" stops the projector.

  • Hello Jakob,

    I'll address the easiest item first! When you set the trigger control, the GUI sends a stop sequence command to the device. Almost all of the settings in pattern sequence mode require you to stop the sequence, send the command, validate the sequence, and start the sequence. Please reference Section 2.4.3 "Pattern Display Commands" of the DLPC350 Programmer's Guide for more information: http://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/DLPU010

    Could you tell me the exact pattern settings you're using where the validation hangs? I was not able to reproduce such a result. Are any of the sequence validation flags set or does the GUI freeze?

    Which results are wrong when you use the "Get" functions? Are there specific ones that always work or ones that sometimes work?

    Thank you for notifying us of these issues!

    Best regards,

    Blair

  • Hello Jakob,

    I would like to add on to my colleague Blair.

    * Please also mention us if you have tried with I2C interface or USB interface. This should help us look more in details.

    * If you are running in Pattern Sequence Mode, we suggest not to activate or clear the 'Auto Update Status' checkbox.

    * This Blair already answered.
