NO difference between extenal streaming pattern sequences and RGB Video mode?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC300

Hi,

I want to use external pattern sequences mode but I am not sure how?

The LIightcrafter 3000 is connected to PC and HDMI has been pluged in.

Then when I use HDMI port mode and change the mode from RGB Video to extenal streaming pattern, there seems no difference, just projecting PC's screen.

Should I use FPGA(with HDMI output) or GPU or sth.else to store patterns and then make program to transfer patterns to Lightcrafter in high speed so that I can use the external pattern sequences mode? Really confusing and frustrated.

More, I read some other response related with external patterns mode and they mentioned several command such as 0x00,0x80,0x40. I do not find them on the GUI. What are they used for?

Please help me ! TAT

Thanks and regards,

William

  • Hi William,

Were you able to get the external pattern sequences mode working as desired? Are you using the same video output from your PC as the input for the HDMI input or are you using a different external pattern sequence for the input?

The commands you have found in other responses may be referring to the I2C commands for the DLPC300, which can be found the the DLPC300 programmer's guide. If there is a specific post you're interested in, please let us know.

    Thanks,

    Clinton
