Configurable trigger

Dear all,

The Lightcrafter Evaluation Module includes a triggering output signal each time a new image is being projected. However, once this loop has been started, is there a way to control which projected image is which?

In other words, is it possible to provide an (additional or even only) trigger at the BEGINNING of each image sequence? So that images that are projected in a 1-2-3-4 order, can be retrieved that way?

Thanks in advance,

Sam

  • Hello Sam,

On the LightCrafter Evaluation module there is just one trigger output available, which is shown in synchronization to the displayed pattern.

If I read your question properly, you are basically interested know if there is another trigger be added where it shown as mark beginning of sequence of 'N' images, the new trigger generate a pulse whenever the 1st pattern in the sequence is displayed.

Answer, we don't have this option in the LightCrafter EVM, however the new offering LightCrafter 4500, LightCrafter 6500 and LightCrafter 9000 has this option.

    Possible options workarounds -

    1)

The simple approach to workaround in LightCrafter EVM that you are currently using is to have additional pattern(s) as marker patterns, like insert ALL WHITE and ALL BLACK pattern then set of actual images, so total images count goes to N+2.

Now, capture set of N+2 images, look out ALL BLACK and ALL WHITE image, then image following them should be the 1st image, you can rearrange them back.

We did this approach and it is working successfully.

    2)

User Run-once, option, in this case, it displays ALL N images once, so it will be always in order.
