I am attempting to model the routing of the LVDS signals on my DMD board in a high speed simulator. I imported the DLP5500 and DLPC200 IBIS models from the TI website. I noticed the LVDS pairs were simulating as though they were un-terminated at the DLP5500 end, causing an ugly signal at the receiver. Replacing the DLP5500 model with a 100 ohm shunt resistor cleaned up the signal so that it looked like what I might expect.
When I browse through the DLP5500.ibs file I don’t see any mention of differential termination being modeled. The DLP5500 datasheet does say that these LVDS lines should all have internal termination. Is it possible that the IBIS file is wrong, and thus isn't simulating correctly?
