Realize the software reset function via RS232(UART interface)

The projectors on the market can make fundamental function such as turn of/off via RS232(UART). I want to know if the DLPC350 can also realize these functions (such as SW_RESET). I know the standard command in dlpu010c.pdf is written by USB and I2C transaction, but the communication command is not definited by RS232. So I want to know whether I can finish software reset function via RS232(J20 on lightcrafter 4500). If so, can you send me the serial commands?

    Hi,

    The RS232 port (J20) on LightCrafter 4500 Kit is used as debug port. This to debug and collect the log from the DLPC350 F/W code.

    We can possibly enable RS232 as Command Handler interface like USB and I2C on DLPC350 but before committing on this we would like many more such requests and strong business need to implement and enable this feature.

    For now it is not possible to use RS232 port to send/receive command/response.
