Hi,

I have some questions on fringes projection by DLP3000 and DLPC300.

I want to project the gray scale fringes and signal by VGA port and
I hope the circuit will be easy, so i just want to use the DLPC300 become the bridge between the computer and DMD.

Is it possible use VGA RGB signals and sync ports to drive the chip via parallel RGB ports?

Is it necessary using I2C signal to control the DLPC300?

Hi,

The DLPC300 accept RGB digital video signals ONLY. So answer is NO. Between your PC's VGA port and DLPC300 you must have analog to digital video converter. Alternatively now that many PCs are support digital video output you can use HDMI/DVI port instead of VGA port.

Yes, I2C control must be available to DLPC300 without which you will not be able to configure the device to enter gray scale 1:1 display mode.

Dear Daneil,

No, DLPC300 accepts RGB 24-bit parallel digital signal, so you need to have DVI Rx chip, you can use TFP401A IC http://www.ti.com/product/tfp401a
