How to fix error "Image Table Signature doesn't match ! Bad Firmware image !"

I have new Lightcrafter 4500, and download "DLP LightCrafter 4500 Control Software -2.0.0" to test it. Following the user guide section 3.6 (Storing Images in Flash Memory), I generated output file (24bpp image). The problem is I can't load this generated output file in tab (Add Images to Firmware). The error message is

I can't load a image that is generated by itself.

Can someone help me to fix this problem?

Hello,
I am not able to see the attached image... Can you please reattach the generated image? If possible show the snap shot of the GUI...

Hi Sanjeev,

I copy and paste the generated 24 BitPerPixel image below.

What I did are

1) Generate a 1 BitPerPixel image as input bmp file. and new file, pattern24b.bmp as output file.

2) Select bit depth = 1, and bit position = B0 and then press "Add to Output File" button.

3) Get error message that described above when I "Browse" the new generated pattern24.bmp in Add Images to Firmware tab.

4) I try to add the input bmp file into bit position from B1 to R7, and press Add to Output File" at each bit position.

5) I got same error message when I "Browse" the new generated pattern24.bmp in Add Images to Firmware tab.

Your helps are appreciated.

Hi Sanjeev,

I found it was my mistake,(sorry) . I should load firmware file instead of bmp file. So I download firmware file "DLPR350PROM_v2.0.0.bin" from Web. And I can load the generated image by the "Add" button in "Add Image to Firmware" tab.

There are three preloaded images, so I add new image at index 3.

How to project the new loaded image? In video mode, I select source "Images from fresh", and I can see the three preloaded images, there have index from 0 to 2. But I can not see the index 3, that is my newly loaded image.

Hello Tong,

You must build the firmware by clicking "Save Updates" button. Plesae refer to the User's guide http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/dlpu011d/dlpu011d.pdf section 3.6 and 3.4.
