LightCrafter4500 "Allowable Pattern Combinations" using mixed bit depth

Hello,

I am evaluating LCr4500EVM with various configuration as follows:
16 x 1bit + 4 x 8bit .. Fail. "Pattern Number OOR" is highlighted red.
16 x 1bit + 3 x 8bit .. Pass. I could display pattens.
17 x 1bit + 3 x 8bit .. Fail. "Pattern Number OOR" is highlighted red.

Although "Allowable Pattern Combinations" are listed in Table 4-1 in dlpu011d,I can not understand allowable condition using mixed bit depth.
Can you explain mechanism?
