DLP Light Commander Newbie questions

I have several questions about the new Light Commander development kit that I saw a press release on. I think I'll separate them into separate posts so they can be resolved individually.

These questions are all availability related:

Where are they available?

When are they going to be available?

What is the part number I need to use when ordering?

  • Sven,

Great questions. I'm guessing you are aware that the DLP LightCommander is not quite released yet, so these answers are preliminary. Please check back periodically for updated information.

    Where are they available?

The DLP LightCommander Development Kit will be available from Arrow, Avnet and DigiKey

When are they going to be available?

Kits will begin shipping later this month - general availability at distributors is expected in May '10

What is the part number I need to use when ordering?

There are actually 3 orderable parts.

The Development Kit itself is Model # DLP-LC-DLP5500-10R. There will also be the ability to order some major components of the kit independently.

The Controller Board will be available under Model # DLP-CB-DLPC200-10R.

Three DMD boards, Model # DLP-DMD-DLP5500-10R,  will be included with a DLP Design Support Contract available from Logic to help you customize the components to fit your application.

    Thanks for your questions!
