About DLP4500FQE frame of package

Hello,

When LEDs flashed to DLP4500FQE, appeared violet color frame as attached.

Please advise why such a phenomenon occured.

I suppose LEDs light reflected at frame of DLP4500FQE package.

If so, Is it OK that we paint the frame by absorption color?

    Hello Hiroaki,

    Based on the image, the DMD appears to have too much overfill. Please see Table 6, on page 24 in the DLP4500 data sheet, which specifies Illumination Overfill. We recommend you reduce the illumination overfill to be within specifications. We do not recommend painting the frame as a solution because the excessive overfill could result in overheating the DMD.

    What optics are you using to image the LED illumination on the DLP4500?
