TIDA-00254 Depth map is missing a significant amount of points.

Hi,


I'm testing the 3D scanner of reference design using Lightcrafter4500.


After completion of system calibration, I performed scan some object.
On same condition sometimes I got good depth map and sometimes wrong result(missing a significant amount of points)

I checked the output images and found several missing patterns(one or two).

I think the reason about this is relative with trigger signal but don't know what point I check.

I need your help.

    Hi Keeyoung Han,

    To rule out projector side you can probe the J11 Pin #2 on the LightCrafter 4500 Kit, any missing pulse(s) or pulse(s) in too short interval could potentially cause skipping of pattern display by the Projector.

    You can also slow down the PG_FLYCAP_SETTINGS_FRAME_RATE from 120 to lower number. (as defined in system_settings_camera.txt)

    For example, set to 60Hz, and then modify (system_settings_projector.txt)

    DLP_PLATFORM_SETTINGS_PATTERNSEQUENCE_EXPOSURE = 10000
    DLP_PLATFORM_SETTINGS_PATTERNSEQUENCE_PERIOD = 10000

    See if it fixes the issue.

    FYI. We have improved the dlp_structured_light_sdk software to enable system for better capture of frames from the camera side. We are planning to release it in next 3-4 weeks for public access. This should also help you overcome the issues you are facing with current sdk software.

    I changed the settings about frame rate and interval between patterns as you mentioned.
    And the problem solved.

    Dear Sanjeev

    I tried to test the high frame rate more than 100 but always first frame was missed. I'm expecting to solve this problem at your new version.

    When can I get the new version dlp_structured_light_sdk software as you mentioned above?
