D4100 EVM START UP FAILED

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC410

Hello,

I followed the D4100 technical Reference Manual to start board,  D2(indicator LED) can turn green, but D3 is always red.

What is the problem here? Can I fix it by myself?

And, I found after install the D4100 Explorer on PC( win-XP ,32bit) , PC cannot recognize D4100 BOARD when connect

the USB cable(fail to install USB driver).

     Please give me some suggestion.

      Thanks.

  • Hi Blizzard,
I apologize for the delay. The D3 status indicates the DDC4100 (DLPR410) is not programming the FPGA (DLPC410). It is possible that you have accidentally overwritten the PROM. If you did, the only option is to purchase a new PROM.

However, the fact that Cypress is not working suggest that something may have corrupted the Cypress PROM also.

Try plugging it into a Windows machine. Does the device appear in the USB section of Device Manager, and if so, what VID/PID does it show?

    Best regards,
    Trevor
