DLP 9000 Evaluation kit and Labview

Hi folks,

I'm very interested in using the new DLP9000 evaluation kit, but I need to write my own software in labview.

Do you know if the evaluation kit comes with a labview library package or dll package that I can call through Labview?

Hello Mirco,
Unfortunately we do not have a LabVIEW library package. Also, we have not yet released the source code or DLLs for the DLP9000. Please let me know if there are any other questions I can answer.

Hi Mirco,

There has been some example LabVIEW 7.1 code created for the D4100 for Windows XP machines. The D4100 includes the DLP Discovery 4100 Development kit: http://www.ti.com/tool/dlpd4x00kit

as well as the corresponding chipsets: The DLP7000 and the DLP9500.

This is the only platform with LabVIEW code.

HI Trevor,

sorry to bother you again but I would have another question about the DLP 9000 evaluation kit. Would be possible to load different patterns using the internal memory and then playing it one by one using the trigger line? In other words can I use the trigger line to switch between preloaded patterns?

Hi Mirco,

I'm not sure that I understand exactly what you are asking, but I'll explain a few concepts about pre-stored pattern mode and you can let me know if I answer your question. You can store multiple images in firmware with the LightCrafter9000 Evaluation Module (EVM). For pre-stored patterns, you can call from any images (of those loaded on the EVM) in different orders by adjusting the look up table (LUT). However, the LUT would have to be adjusted over I2C or USB.

If your question is more to do with the use or capabilities with triggers, the Trigger Commands section (4.2.1) of the DLPC900 Programmer's Guide is very helpful.
