To use the IR LED and DMD in Lightcrafter4500

We got the LightCrafter4500 alreay.

Then we would like to replace from (original LED and DMD) to (IR LED and DLP4500NIR) in the LightCrafter4500.

Do you think we can easily realize the above matter?

We guess that DMD can easily replace so DLP4500 and DLP4500 have same package type products.

But for LED, we are not sure ealisy to replace or not also we have to take care the optical system in the Lghtcrafter4500.

If you have any suggestion please let us know.

I am trying to solve similar problem. But prior to that, if someone can tell me what's the throughput of non-NIR version of lightcrafter @ ~800nm, that would be great. And I'm looking forward to seeing some answers to this thread.

+1 Looking for information on the topic as well.

If any TI staff has comments on thoughts or considerations when replacing the light source with IR I would appreciate hearing them.

Hi Cole,

The LCr4500 has a contained optics engine that we haven't modified for IR. However, we do have some suppliers who build what you are looking for and would be willing to help: ekb.co.il/.../dlp_lightcrafter-e4500-mkii.php

They produce a Lightcrafter 4500 with a wide variety of optical configurations.
