Hi,

I would like to control this device using Matlab so that I can make a matrix that has a specific pattern and then send this to the DMD to display the pattern. I have search the documentation that came with it (APL-4.1) after some function listing and searched the web with no luck so I do not even know where to start :(

Could someone please help me with this or even point me in the right direction of how to start e.g. documentation, codes, examples?

Hello Markus,

Welcome to the DLP Advanced Light Control section of the TI-E2E Community.

DId you mean (APL-4.1 or ALP-4.1). I susptect you are refering to the ALP-4.1, if so you will need to contact ViALUX (or if you purchased the kit through DLi then contact DLi) since the software for the ALP-4.1 series is the intellectual property of ViALUX (and resold by DLi also).

If you did not mean the ALP, then let us know.

Yes I mean the ALP-4.1 and that file I have installed on the computer. I got a tip to read the file ALP-4 high-speed API description.pdf but have not had time to read it yet. Will this file contain the information I need? I will read it today.

I have the same question with Markus. I want to control the DLP Discovery 4100 DMD device using MATLAB. I have already installed the ALP-4.1 to my computer. But I don't know how to use build the connection between MATLAB and ALP-4.1.

Could you give me some suggestions on how to get started?

Hello Wenyu,

Since the ALP-4.1 is the intellectual property of ViALUX, you will need to contact them directly for instructions on how to connect MATLAB to the ALP-4.1 platform.
