Minimum required hardware for DLP4500NIR

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP4500NIR, DLP4500

Hello,

First of all I would like to say that I am very new to the DMD world, and am therefore bound to ask beginners questions. I am hoping that I am posting this in the right forum.

For a fundamental research optics / cold atoms experiment we need a spatial light modulator, and were intrigued by DMDs as compared to liquid chrystal SLMs, primarily since the former seem much cheaper. Our light will be in the NIR spectrum (780nm), and I think that the DLP4500NIR would suit our needs.

The proposed development module DLP NIRscan contains optics that we would not need (lamp, lenses, grating, ...) and that probably drive the prize up quite a bit. I would therefore like to ask whether there exists a "bare bone" developer kit that provides nothing else than the DMD, its controller, and the other necessary hardware to be able to connect to a computer, or whether it is possible to only buy the components (DMD, controller, cables, ...) and assemble them ourselves?

Thank you very much in advance,

  Kilian Müller
