I need to use my own light source. How can I know that a LED driver for my light source is compatible with the PWM ( DLP4500NIR MDM)?

Hello Jennifer,

Please check the whether your driver accepts the PWM signal frequency and duty cycle as generated by DLPC350. There is an option to adjust these so first check your driver characteristics a) Accept PWM signals for current adjustments b) LED On/Off timing, check minimum timing in us to turn ON / OFF LED driver.

Dear Sanjeev: To make things simpler, could you please recommend to me (a) a LED driver and (b) a NIR LED that can be driven by the LED driver?

You can perhaps use the LightCrafter 4500 EVM (has LED driver circuit) in it, all you need to is to find the matching NIR part, note the EVM uses the R G B Color LEDs from the OSRAM , you can look on OSRAM website to get NIR part with similar current and voltage rating.
