Focusing Projected Images at Shorter Projection Distances

Hi,

I am using my Lightcrafter 4500 module as an light exposure device for 3D printing applications using Stereolithography and am looking to reduce the individual pixel size of the projected image, therefore improving my printing resolution. I was hoping to achieve this by reducing the projection distance and using an external lens array or alternative solution to focus the image beyond the limits of those already fitted on the module.

Has anyone had any success attempting to focus images at a smaller projection distance or have any suggestions as to how this may be achieved?

Do you have any idea how the introduction of a shim will reduce the projection distance?

i tried the spacer shim, after that, i got a lot of sphericla aberrations edge blurred image, i tried almost everything with Lightcrafter 4500 evm from wintech digital, tried from 100micron pixel to 30 micron pixel, doesn't work, precision machined shim were made and won't achieve focus, i tried everything possible after waste US1200 and the f********ing edge still a blurred,.... and they sell me a " best in class 3d printing solution "
