Mirror On & Off setting

Hi

I am curious if I can switch the logical setting of 'On' and 'Off' which means to reverse the mirror angle setting.

My motivation is that I want to let the mirror on during the waiting time between one sequence and next.

  • I found the commend in GUI 'Global Data Invert'. And also in Programmer's Guide, there is 'Pattern Display Invert Data'. These two seems to what I means. But to make the issue clear, will they also invert the angle of the mirror during waiting time (the time after clearing DMD but before the next sequence)?
  • Hi Qiyuan,

I'm glad you were able to find this information. The inverted data changes how a '1' or '0' is interpreted, which causes the inversion of which way the mirrors are angled.

Could explain further what you mean by 'wait time'? Do you mean the pixels are in an 'off' state and then you load in a new pattern?

    Thanks,
    Clinton
  • Hi Clinton,

'Wait time' is exactly as you said, the 'off' state. I did some test, it seams that the 'off' state will always be the fixed physical angle no matter 'Global Data Invert' is on or off?

More important, some one told me that in old time, physically all the mirrors will always went back to 'off' state with a fixed period no matter how our pattern settings were. So for this DMD, is it still the case?
