Hi there,

Is it possible to preset the DLP Lightcrafter 4500 to a flashing black and white of 1Hz frequency?

Meaning when i plug in the power cable, it will already be flashing on and off, instead of showing the DLP Lightcrafter image.

    Hi Nee,

    Yes it is possible.

    In the INI file you must change the flag

    DATAPATH.SPLASHATSTARTUPENABLE                               0x01       ; <1>

    to

    DATAPATH.SPLASHATSTARTUPENABLE                               0x00       ;

    then build the firmware it should work.

    Hi Sanjeev,

    After I selected my pattern sequence and when i click on save solution, which ini parameters should I input? Should I use all default or user defined? If user defined, what are the values to input? Thank you.

    Hello Nee Meng,

    You should select user defined.

    As explained above in the thread, the below is default to 0x01 which you need to change to 0x00

    DATAPATH.SPLASHATSTARTUPENABLE                               0x00       ;

    Hi Sanjeev,

    I tried doing that but it didn't work. Here are the steps I took, please check if I did something wrong through the process.

    1) Open up DLP LightCrafter 4500 Control Software and connected my DLP LightCrafter 4500
    2) Set the pattern sequence I wanted, I sent and validated the sequence to double check and it could work
    3) Saved solution to an .ini file
    4) Went to image/firmware tab, browsed for the .bin file I want to upload the solution to
    5) Selected the .ini file which I saved and edited(change to DATAPATH.SPLASHATSTARTUPENABLE                               0x00)
    6) Then I clicked save updates
    7) Went to firmware upload tab to upload the updated firmware file

    However at the end of these steps, I still couldn't get to display what I want when I start up the DLP LightCrafter 4500.

    Hello Nee Meng,

    I forgot to ask the baseline. There is issue in v2.0 firmware; we have already fixed the issue and will make it available in v3.0, we will be released in next couple of weeks.

    Hello Nee,

    Sanjeev is traveling the next few days, so I will answer for him.  We continue to test v3.0, which has consumed more time than expected because we included additional tests to help insure a solid release.  We expect to release the update to http://www.ti.com/tool/dlpr350 later this month.
