Mounting Holes for DLP 6500 LightCrafter

I need to machine a mount for my DLP LightCrafter 6500 and I cannot find the measurements for the mounting holes. I have downloaded and looked in the reference design folder but I did not find it there.

Both actually. I need to make a mount for the DMD board and a box for the controller board.

I apologize, we are aware that these drawings are not available in the reference design hardware files, and we are working to fix it, but the process is taking longer than expected.

In the meantime, here are the links for the two mechanical files you are looking for.

I looked at the DMD board PDF that you posted and the mounting holes do not line up with the board that I have. The length of the mounting hole rectangle is much longer that the one in the PDF the width is correct. The other issues that I have is that it is very difficult to determine where the active area is in relation to the mounting holes. Do you have an updated PDF of the DMD board with these dimensions?

Hi Michael,

Please check the new files. I redirected the link to the EVM page where the files you looked at can be found under "Reference Design." Within the .zip download, be sure to look at the version of your drawing that matches your DMD, i.e. FYE or FLQ

I edited the post above to avoid further confusion.

Let me know if the new drawings do not line up with your LightCrafter 6500.

I downloaded the reference design zip file and looked through the entire file. The only model specific drawings are in the mounting concept which does not have the DMD board. The "Assembly Drawings" folder has one PDF but it is not dimensioned as is primarily for the silk screen and electronics layout. I have also looked under the "CAD-files" folder and I can only find *.brd files. Is there something that I am missing?

Hi,

I have the same question with Michael.

Actually, there is no CAD file or pdf file to draw the mount hole on DMD PCB and specify its position and dimension.

Please give me some assistance.

Hi Wei-Yao,

It seems that the mechanical layout file has gone missing from the download.

In the meantime, you can find the mechanical pdf (with mounting holes) here:

Dear Trevor,

Thank you for the design file, I have been looking for the same. It seems though that the controller board designs (zip download) are also missing from "reference design" section of the EVM page for DLP LightCrafter 6500. Is there a way to get it?

Hello again Ivan,

Please go the DLPLCR6500EVM page and scroll down to the section labeled "DLP LightCrafter 6500 EVM Reference Design: " and go to the fourth entry:

DLP LightCrafter 6500 EVM Reference Design v 1.2 dated 9/2016. Click on the link Windows. This file will have pdfs and brd files in it that you should be able to use.

Ivan,

I am not sure what is causing the issue. Can you try connecting from a different computer to see if it is a cache issue. If I click on the Windows link in your post it takes me to a confirmation page then enables the download.

Let me know if you are still unable to reach the file.
