We wanna use lasers for Lightcrafter 9000?
And we have some questions:
-Can we use laser light source for dmd matrix?It can damage the matrix?
-Which quantity of light(lumens)can sustain matrix without any damage?
-Which wavelengths are optimal for high-quality work of the matrix?
-Power of lasers?(Watts)
-Can we use 3 lasers( R, G, B )instead using color wheel?
-Or better to combine 3 lasers into 1 and use color wheel?
-Or use RGB laser+color wheel?
-Which power is optimal for use RGB or combined laser systems?
-Anybody have a completed variant?
-Which diameter of laser beam is optimal(for laser diode)?
-Which lens can be used in our objective?

At this moment i have only few questions:

-Can we use 3 lasers( R, G, B )instead using color wheel?
-Or better to combine 3 lasers into 1 and use color wheel?
-Has anyone done something like this before?

Hello Sergey,

It is indeed possible to use lasers R,G,B with these DMD's. The total integrated time averaged power density cannot exceed the datasheet specifications.

Since you are planning to use R,G,B our assumption is that you are building a system that is for viewing by a human eye. In that case you will have to deal with the challenges of laser speckle for Red and especially Green.

The question of the ratio of laser powers is a system design question as is the size of laser diodes and such.

There are some systems that are designed on a single blue laser with a phosphor wheel that passes Blue laser, but lights up a Red and Green segment of a phosphor wheel.
