Question about the VBP and VFP

Hello ALC team,

 

I would like to ask two questions about the VBP(Vertical Back porch).

Would you please answer these questions?

 

Q1:

It is written in the Page21 of DLPC350 datasheet that VBP is 370us. Would you please tell us the reason why this specification is defined by time(usec)?

Regarding the VFP, it is 2 lines. So, it should be calculated to lines but we would like to know the reason.

 

Q2:

Regarding total vertical blanking, 370us + 3lines is written in datasheet. Please tell us the reason why it is 370us + 3 lines.

Is this a typo of 370us + 2lines? Or, is there any reason for that?

    Q1:
    370us is a min required time controller to process the video frame, based on the horizontal line period setting, you can determine # lines, 370 / (H line period in us); in other words VBP time should be >= 370us.
