Updating Firmware Error in DLP LightCrafter 6500EVM

Hello, I utilize DLP LightCrafter 6500EVM and I have already added 212 1 bit-patterns to the Firmware of the EVM.

There is no problem to update the 212 patterns and display the patterns.

But when I update the Firmware to add 1bit, 399 number of patterns, then an error is occurred as shown above.

Of course, prior to updating the Firmware, I browse the raw firmware file which has no existing patterns or batch files.

I cannot understand the error because TI introduces this EVM is capable of holding up to 400 1bit patterns...

Why this error occurs and how can I solve this?

Thanks.

  • Hello 212,

The GUI has been successfully tested with 400 binary images. Just to be sure I understand, the stock firmware file contains patterns and a batch file, so did you run a version where those had been removed? As a check, perhaps you could click the option "Clear All Existing Pattern Images and Batch Files" before you click "Update Firmware"? If you are still having issues, perhaps you could attach one of your patterns and (assuming all patterns are similar) I can test with 400 patterns in your use case?

    Best regards,
    Trevor
