DLP LightCrafter Driver

I bought a DLP® LightCrafter™ 6500 Evaluation Module. When I tried to upload a new firmware into the DLP device with the GUI software, the software corrupted. It seems that the original driver on the DLP has been erased but no new driver has been uploaded. Right now the DLP device has no response when plugged in and cannot be recognized by the computer.  Is there a way to recover the initial settings of this device?

  • Hello Zhi,

If the bootloader portion of the firmware becomes corrupted, which it sounds like it has in your case, you can re-load the bootloader through JTAG. There is a guide which explains how to build a JTAG programmer and how to program your board through a small JTAG GUI included in the 3.10 JTAG Flash Programming section of the LightCrafter 6500 and 9000 User's Guide.

Let me know if you have any issues with the process.

    Best regards,

    Trevor
