Dynamic control of image sequence using external trigger

Hi,

For my application I want to display a 24 bit image stored in flash as a sequence of 1-bit patterns. I will be using an external device to trigger the start of the sequence. But what I want is that the sequence of the images in the flash to be controlled by the external device bidirectionally, in other words, when an external positive trigger is generated by this external device, the projector starts displaying pattern at G0 and with the next positive trigger, it should display the pattern at G1. But if the external device generates a negative trigger, than the sequence should starts moving backwards and display again the pattern at G0.

So my first question is that is this dynamic control is possible using flash as a source? I want to achieve high pattern rates and would prefer using flash as my source.

And my second questions, if not flash, then what is the other way to achieve this dynamic pattern sequencing?

Hi Aamir,

To answer your question here, there is not a way to dynamically move forward and backward in a sequence as you described. Below is a link to your previous post on a similar question, where I proposed an alternate solution.

Yes I remember your solution and I have just posted on that thread why it won't work for in my case.
Just to be sure, is this dynamic sequence is not possible to achieve by streaming 1-bit images over HDMI?
